Who is this for? 

For left-brained leaning people who would like to explore their other side and experiment with a different kind of expression. If you're someone who spends a lot of time on the computer and would like to get back in touch with your body, this is for you. You do not have to be an (experienced) artist or dancer to dive into expression through simple movements and art exercises that are designed to tap into your imagination and emotive self. 

A Typical Session

We will have a 5-10 minute verbal check in about what issue you would like to work with. Depending on your personal goals, we will host movement, drawing, collage, paint and writing exercises designed to for exploration in expression. A non-analytic reflection will occur allowing feedback on what was seen, heard, felt and noticed during the session. Possible take home activities might be suggested to help consistently balance and ground you.

A multimodal curriculum is created towards the needs and wants of student and faculty. Through Somatic awareness, students will have the opportunity to gain personal empowerment, grow self-esteem and learn improvisational skills to foster a way of listening, watching, accepting and sharing without judgement or criticism.

Workshops

We create customizable somatic awareness and expressive art workshops for universities, colleges and organizations. Fostering the individual, group and community to engage, educate, express and grow.

We offer customizable workshops to suite the needs and desires of your community, institution or organization. A minimum of 1 1/2 hours with a maximum of a full day, several days up to several weeks. Movement, drawing, collage, improv, writing and performance exercises are designed to further the exploration of the creative process. A non-analytic reflection will occur allowing feedback on what was seen, heard, felt and noticed during the session.

Planting The Seeds  

Creativity Explored through Body/Mind Connection and the Art of Collage

What Seeds do you want to harvest from this past year? Are you wondering, what’s next? What seeds do you want to plant for 2020?

Through individual and group experiences we will identify and gathering resources and tools that will awaken, engage, empower and inspire the whole person. We will explore the physical body and it’s relationship to our mental and imaginal selves through movement, art, writing, sharing and collage. Through the making of vision boards, we will investigate and explore, Planting the Seeds; My Seed, My Vision.

Curriculum is based on The Life/Art Process® pioneered by Anna Halprin and Daria Halprin.
