I am a Jewish American artist, performer, teacher, mother and partner. For over forty years I have explored personal and collective women’s stories about identity, home, cultural roots, community and belonging. I am an interdisciplinary artist, influenced by my surroundings. Textures, words, movement, paint, photography and video are many ways I create installations and environments. I have traveled the world to investigate the meaning of identity, home and belonging.  I love learning about other humans and deeply care about building cultural humility, compassion and empathy through movement, art and dialogue. I am a registered somatic movement and dance educator and therapist and a Tamalpa Practitioner. I  am the founder of The Talking Body.com, facilitating classes, workshops and retreats in an integrative, multi-modal artistic approach that explores the wisdom of the body as expressed through movement, drawing, writing and performance, deepening one’s relationship with psychological life, social issues, and creativity itself.  As a visual artist, director and producer I have collaborated with Bay Area and international organizations creating video, public art projects and performances dedicated to raising awareness around women and women’s voices.

My work is an interdisciplinary exploration of the intricate, often invisible stories of women—their voices, their lives, and the nuanced experiences that shape them. Through a fusion of words, textures, found materials, sculpture, movement, and video, I create immersive environments that weave together a universal narrative centered on women and their lived realities.

In my installations, I delve into the untold stories of women—the small, everyday experiences that often go unnoticed and unrecognized. These are the acts of care, the labor of love, and the quiet resilience that, though rarely acknowledged as "work," form the backbone of our societies. My art seeks to bring these hidden stories into the light, to celebrate the strength and wisdom inherent in these often-overlooked moments.

Each piece I create is a celebration of women, an act of making the invisible visible. Whether through the tactile engagement with found materials, the physicality of movement, or the layered narratives of video and text, my work is a tribute to the voices of women, including my own. I aim to honor the unspoken, the unseen, and the undervalued, challenging the boundaries of what is recognized as valuable or worthy of attention in our world.

My art is a call to witness, to engage with the stories that are too often left out of the larger cultural narrative. It is an invitation to see the beauty and significance in the everyday, to recognize the profound impact of the work women do, and to celebrate the diverse and powerful voices of women everywhere.
